Pulmonary Medicine and Respiratory Care (PMRC) is an international, peer-reviewed online journal that keeps pulmonologists up to date with latest advancements in the diagnosis and treatment of various pulmonary disorders. Articles are welcome in the form of original research, reviews, case reports, commentaries, short communications, letter to editors, mini-reviews, opinions, perspectives etc.
The manuscripts submitted to the journal will be sent out for a thorough peer review by the experts in the field of the manuscript and the first decision will be provided to authors approximately within 28 days from the date of submission. Minimum two independent reviewer’s approval and an editor approval is taken into consideration for acceptance or rejection of a manuscript.

Articles published in pulmonary medicine and respiratory care journal will be distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution License, which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium provided the original work is properly cited.

Dr. Kamangar is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine. He is the former Chair of the CHEST Training & Transitions Committee, the Presidential Appointee on the CHEST Nominating Committee, and serves on the editorial board of CHEST/SEEK. He as serves as Pulmonary Medicine section editor-in-chief for Medscape/e-medicine and is on the editorial board of numerous scientific journals. He is a fellow of the College of Chest Physicians (FCCP), American College of Physicians (FACP), College of Critical Care Medicine (FCCM), and American Academy of Sleep Medicine (FAASM). He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed scientific articles, book chapters, and abstracts. He is the recipient of nine Golden Apple Awards for Excellence in Teaching at his institution and awardee of the Excellence in Education Award and the Serge & Yvette Dadone Clinical Teaching Award at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Kamangar is also recipient of the Distinguished CHEST Educator (DCE) title, a distinction bestowed to the top 5% of all CHEST faculty that have maintained a large volume of high-quality educational programs over numerous years and have participated in formal faculty development on the national level.
Dr. Kamangar completed his graduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley; medical school at St. George’s University; Internal Medicine residency at UCSF; and Pulmonary & Critical Care fellowship at UCLA.

Article Processing Charges
All the manuscripts submitted to Onjourn Publishers are assumed to be submitted under the open access publishing model. Being an open access publisher, we do not collect any subscription charges and allow the readers free access to all its articles. The manuscripts submitted to the journal will be peer reviewed similar way as in subscription model under the control of editorial board members. If the article is found to be acceptable for publishing in a particular journal then the author will be issued with an invoice for payment of article publishing charges. These charges are used as offset expenses for peer review management, journal production and online hosting and archiving.
